The American Guild of Court Videographers has been established to provide the legal profession with qualified and certified videographers who understand the Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 30(b)(4), and the Federal Rules of Evidence which governs the taking of video taped depositions to be admitted in a court of law.

As members in “Good Standing” of the American Guild of Court Videographers, they have received all the information needed to produce all types of legal videos especially videos of testimony given under oath. The vast Majority of our members have gone on to successfully complete all the requirements allowing the AGCV to award them higher designation of “Certified Court Videographer” (CCV).

With members throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe, our members can meet your legal video needs almost anywhere in the world today. The AGCV is the largest organization in the world exclusively training and certifying professional videographers in all aspects of legal videography.

CDVS - Certified Deposition Video Specialist - These individuals are certified to do video depositions.

CVDS - Certified Video Documentary Specialist - These individuals are certified to prepare video documents called “Settlement Documentaries,” used to settle a case out of court.

CCVS - Certified Court Video Specialist - These individuals are certified to do both video depositions and settlement documentaries.

CVPS - Certified Visual Presentation Specialist - These individuals are certified to do video synchronization, computer generated Crime Scene reconstruction and show video evidence in the court room.

CLVI - Certified Legal Video Instructor - These individuals are certified to instruct and validate others as a CDVS, CVDS, or a CVPS.

CSCV - Certified Senior Court Videographer - These individuals who have been an AGCV member for five years, have served the legal video profession with distinction, and holds the CCVS certification.
